J-Live - Red & The Kid (Single)

J-Live - Red & The Kid (Single)

Hot on the heels of his last single "I Just Don't", New York veteran emcee J-Live returns with the third single from his upcoming album "His Own Self", which is set to drop on March 17, 2015 and is currently available for preorder over on his Bandcamp site. The song is called "Red & The Kid" and it's a banger, with J-Live rapping about how he learned to DJ as well as about the DJ's that inspired him over an old school instrumental that has my head nodding like crazy. "His Own Self" is shaping up to be crazy. Peep the single below.

J-Live - I Just Don't (Single)

J-Live comes through with his latest single "I Just Don't", which finds the veteran New York rapper letting us know that he just "doesn't give a fuck" over a hypnotic self-produced instrumental. The beat is dope, but its the rhymes and delivery from J-Live that really stand out to me about this song. Anyways, this cut is the second release from J-Live's upcoming album "His Own Self", which is set to drop on March 17, 2015 and is currently available for preorder over on his Bandcamp site.

Both of the songs are select cuts from his "Around The Sun" album that dropped back in April, with the first being produced by Korede and the second being produced by J-Live himself. Peep the video below and then head on over to iTunes and cop the album if you like what you hear.

J-Live - I Am A Man (American Justice) (Single)

Veteran New York emcee J-Live is back again, this time with his latest single "I Am A Man (American Justice)". The song finds J-Live rapping about the "consistent tragedies and travesties of justice concerning Black men, women, children and the police" over an ill self-produced instrumental. Peep it below.

J Live - Not Listening (Video)

Veteran New York emcee J-Live comes through with some visuals for his track "Not Listening", which is a select cut from his banging "Around The Sun" album that dropped earlier this year. The song is produced by Korede and finds J-Live addressing some of the bullshit that goes on in hip-hop nowadays. Just for the record, I fully agree with everything he is saying is saying on here. Peep the video, as well as the full album, below. Don't sleep.

CunninLynguists - Beyond the Sun (ft. J-Live)

CunninLynguists return with the third offering from their upcoming "Strange Journey Volume Three" album, which is set to drop on April 1st. The song is called "Beyond The Sun" and features Deacon The Villain and J-Live trading verses over a spacey Kno instrumental. So far everything I've heard from the album is fire and this track is no exception.
